More sleep tips for grown-ups
Good sleep habits matter for grown-ups and children alike. Screens give off blue light, which slows the brain's production of melatonin, the hormone that brings on sleep and keeps our inner clock running well. Cutting screen time for about two hours before bed can help you and your child sleep more soundly, and may prevent the night waking that poor sleep habits can cause in the first place.
Keep the bed for sleep only: no eating, TV or homework in bed. Go to sleep at regular, set times.
This is general information only, not an assessment of, or advice about, any particular child.
